The District Chief Executive of Ho West, Hon. Ernest Victor Apau accompanied by some Heads of Departments and the Assembly Member for Biakpa-Fume Electoral Area visited Tanve Bunya community on Friday 13th January, 2023. The purpose of the visit was to interact and discuss development issues affecting the area.
According to the DCE, the Assembly has been created to bring governance closer to the people and also to ensure an inclusive interaction of its citizenry for the development of the district. He said, the government is committed to ensure every community enjoys development.
The DCE further explained some government initiatives and activities that has being executed by the Assembly to improve the wellbeing of its people. He also advised the community members to be security conscious as violent extremism activities are happening around our borders.
The community stated poor road network, construction of Bridge, extension of electricity, renovation of school block, posting of teachers, supply of school desks and inadequate supply of water facilities as their development challenges.
The Chief of the community, Togbui Gatogo Francis said, he is very grateful to the DCE for the visit. He urged the District Director of Education as a matter of urgency to post teachers to the school. He noted that the community is ready to support the Assembly to ensure the development challenges mentioned is achieved.
In response, the DCE assured them that measures will be put in place to ensure their developmental challenges are addressed with the utmost importance.
Members present at the engagement were the Assembly Member for the Area, the District Coordinating Director, the District Education Director, the District Planning Officer, the District Environmental Health Officer, the District Information Officer, the Chief and people of Tanve Bunya.
